My name is Anna and my personal yoga journey started back in 2008. I was looking for something to add to my current fitness routine so I decided to take a Bikram Yoga class. I still remember my first class... I had no idea what I was doing but I knew that I enjoyed it. I decided to go back the following week and after that class, I knew this was for me. After practicing Bikram for a while, I decided it to was time to explore other forms of yoga. I eventually veered away from Bikram and started practicing a more Ashtanga influenced style of vinyasa.
Over the years, my practice has evolved drastically. I began incorporating meditation and breath work into my asana practice and eventually decided it was time to enroll in yoga teacher training. I am a 200hr certified yoga teacher as well as an ACE certified group fitness instructor. In addition, I am also a NASM certified personal trainer. Last, I also teach yoga and fitness classes online to seniors.
My intention is to dispel common myths about yoga held my many people. Through my teaching, I want to demonstrate that anybody can practice yoga. You do not need to have a certain body type, or be at a certain fitness level, or be flexible.
I will create a custom yoga sequence that is in line with your personal goals and intention. I specialize in a variety of styles including slow flow, vinyasa, and power. I also offer one on one personal training and HIIT style classes.
