I turned to yoga to compliment my running but found the mental health benefits to be so profound that I decided to train to become a yoga instructor myself. I have found yoga to be a fantastic way to reduce anxiety and improve sleep. I have a Health and Human Science BSc Hons from Durham University and a 200YTT Yoga qualification through Yoga Alliance. I my style is very gentle and therapeutic, focusing on restorative poses to calm the nervous system and the mind. I also work with people who have been diagnosed with auto-immune disease, many of whom are housebound, yet they find our yoga sessions helps them to manage their symptoms of pain, anxiety and sleep.
