Emily Ranford Movement Studio

With a restorative and rehabilitative interest, I am experienced in dealing with injuries, training for dancers, pre and post natal pilates and training for general fitness.​ I enjoy to engage deeply with the human body by bringing awareness, anatomical interest, ease of movement and a sense of mind body integration for my clients.

I studied my Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction with National Pilates Training at Aligned for Life in Melbourne in 2011. During my training, I was mentored by Katrina Edwards, Sarah Colquhuon and Wendy Smith.

Through a deep practice in somatic movement training at the Victorian College of the Arts with Wendy Smith, I went on to work alongside her with a team of health professionals at Studio 202 Pilates and Movement Practices, with Sara Colquhoun in South Melbourne and several other Pilates and physiotherapy clinics in Melbourne.

In 2019 I completed my Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India. Yin yoga is a practice that is highly complimentary to the Pilates Method, and has enhanced my knowledge of more holistic and restorative bodywork.

I continue to guest teach in Melbourne, and now I work predominantly in Berlin, Germany as well as with online clients.
