In my yoga fundamentals private classes, we focus on one main pose per 30-minute class, breaking it down several times, step by step.
*Tadasana (Mountain Pose - the fundamental pose for every standing pose)
*Virabhadrasana 1 and/or 2 (Warrior Pose)
*Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog Pose)
*Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)
*Vrksasana (Tree Pose)
*Utkatasana (Chair Pose)
Each class starts with a brief grounding meditation, then a bit of warming up, then focusing on the break down of the main pose. We end with a little cool down, and savasana time.
In addition to the main pose taught in the class, there are other poses in the warm-up and cool down that you'll also learn.
This type of class is excellent for beginners, or for those who never got a chance to focus on the basics, or even for those wanting a "tune up" on basic poses.
This is a class that is great for asking questions and getting the one-on-one attention you can't get in a group class.
