Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release

Yin Yoga: It is a passive and slow-paced type of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time to help target deep connective tissues of the entire body. It restores the web that forms and connects all aspects of the human body, which is also called the fascia network. It also uses time to help create space in our body. mind and spirit so we can be the best version of ourselves. Yin Yoga has three principles:
1. Find your edge of comfort or come to the first prompting of your body to stop.
2. Hold the posture.
3. Stay in stillness and relax.

Myofascial Release & Yoga: Myofascial release (thru massage balls) offers the same benefits of stretching without the risks of overstretching and damaging the joints. It can be a powerful tool for relieving tightness and discomfort. It is an alternative medicine therapy for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. It helps break down excessive connective tissue deposition as well as stimulates them to produce new, more resilient connective tissue. It also enhances the hydration of this tissue. Even less than five minutes of self-myofascial release a day will be a great complement to your yoga practice and everyday life.
