Jessica is a yoga therapist who specializes in prenatal yoga and pelvic health. During the session, she will show the client special techniques for optimal fetal positioning meaning the baby stays in the position or gets into the best position for birthing (this includes helping flip the baby if he/she becomes breach), techniques to prevent transverse baby, tools to help you relax and de-stress as well as build the muscles necessary to have a better birthing experience (on the back is one of the worst ways you can give birth). You will learn movement to build strength in the arms and shoulders for post-birth nursing, learn stamina to assist with labor, ways to supplement sleep for once baby arrives, and much more!
The first session will include the initial consultation and assessment with a plan of care specific to your needs that you will do at home. Follow-up appointments will include a custom sequence built specifically to your needs. We will be updating the plan of care as needed as we continue working together.
Intake includes (but is not limited to) assessing and addressing sleep habits, breathing habits, and stressors. You will discuss concerns you are experiencing, and there is an evaluation of body and breath awareness as well as physical mobility to help determine what movements will best help you specifically.
