Shaqed is a Multidisciplinary Israeli Dancer, Teacher & choreographer, specializing in Afro-Latin Dance. Her fusionary unique dancing style is inspired by her varied dancing background.
Shaqed has been dancing on stage since she was 6 years old, growing up with a professional dance education including Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Composition (Choreography), Competitive Gymnastic, Jazz & Israeli Folk Dance.
When she was 19 she fell in love with the Latin dance world. Starting from Cuban Salsa to all Salsa styles including Salsa On1 (LA style), On2 (NY style), Colombian style (Salsa Caleña) and other Latin dances such as Bachata (Sensual & Dominican), Cha Cha- Boogaloo, Pachanga, Merengue, Son, Rumba, Reggaeton, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Kizomba and more.
Shaqed have performed, competed and taught internationally for the past several years. At her last Competition at the Israeli Latin Dance Cup 2017, she was ranked 2nd at Salsa Couples-Pro division. As a Social dancer she’s known for her great following, high energy and good vibe.
Since she’ve completed her Salsa instructors course in 2012 at Tel-Aviv University, she’s been traveling internationally, training with the leading teachers at their field. In 2017-2018 she've spend 8 months training in NYC, Italy and Paris.
Shaqed teaches: Salsa On1/On2, Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha, Pachanga & Lady Styling.
