I trained in various yoga schools throughout Ireland and India for the past 20 years, qualifying as a yoga instructor in 2008 and as a fitness instructor with the University of Limerick in 2015. Although I approach yoga practice from a fitness perspective and tailor exercise to suit individual needs, I differentiate fitness training from Yoga, which is primarily a tool for Self-realization.
I studied with the American Institute of Vedic Studies and at the International Academy of Ayurveda in Pune, India. I have always been passionate about movement, from freestyle dance in my early years to more formal training more recently. My training and experience in coaching has helped me understand how different bodies tend to move and how this can be adjusted to suit, preventing injury and illness, making exercise more productive and supportive.
