Yoga Foundations Series - 4 sessions workshop

Each one hour class will cover breathing exercises (Pranayama), explore a pose (Asana), and offer a guided relaxation. Each class will explore the Asana variations (with or without props for progression or regression) and dive into the foundations for later advanced and more challenging postures (e.g. bridge pose to shoulder-stand etc). This course is designed to both continue further learning and/or set the foundations for a yoga practice.
We will systematically work through a full range of poses with more explanation and structure than a regular “drop-in” class. Each student at each level will get individual attention and feedback through the series and options to best assist them in practice. Students have a chance to email me questions throughout the series privately and ask questions openly in a online Live group setting.
Each week will bring something new, starting with foundational poses (down dog, Warriors), forward bends, lateral bends, twists, standing balances, heart-openers (back bends), and wrapping up with arm balances and inversions (headstands, shoulder-stands) with the use of props.
Suitable for anyone new to yoga or those wanting to expand or deepen their knowledge of the practice.
This is a 4 week series, students will be expected to attend all 4 classes. If a class is missed, there won’t be a make up but I will go over the prior class teachings and do brief re-caps at the start of each class.
Cost is $120 for the series of 4 classes (1 hour each)
