Beginner's Yoga - An introduction to Yoga

Many times I have had people tell me that they had heard about yoga and wanted to try it out so they went to a yoga class at the gym or a studio. However they found even though it was called a beginners class, it wasn't really geared towards real newbies because it was too fast and they couldn't keep up as they aren't familiar with the poses.

Therefore, I want to offer sessions to those who are completely new to yoga. These sessions are designed to give you and introduction into what yoga is all about and to help you learn and master the most commonly used poses.

These sessions are slowed down to a pace that best suits you and each pose is broken down to help you understand and practice the pose.

This introduction to yoga will cover the following:

• Basic breathing techniques
• Warm up poses
• Sun salutations
• Standing poses
• Forward and back-bending poses

These techniques will help cultivate mobility, flexibility and strength.
